Asia 2018 Trip – Singapore – Part 2

For the last two days of this trans-Asia vacation I returned to Singapore from where I started two weeks ago.
Having passed the half-time point of this trip, it was time to return southbound. The next destination is Taipei, the capital of the island Taiwan.
And the journey goes on to Tokyo. Originally I planned this trip around Asia to see other countries in the Far East than Japan, but given the proximity to Seoul I could not resist to stop by for two days at least.
One day is not enough. My stay in South Korea was incredible short, but I tried to make the most out of the 24 hours I had.
The next day I decided to explore Lantau Island in the West of Hong Kong Island, where the airport is also situated. At the pier, I just made it for a fast ferry that took half an hour to Mui Wo, a village on the Southeast of the island.
As we approached Hong Kong, I spotted an ocean of freight ships on the water.
In the evening the airport terminal was not crowded at all. Freed of the suitcase I walked up and down the terminal before proceeding to the security checkpoint.
One day before the trip began I found myself in the French city Strasbourg. How did I end up here instead of the airport? Keep on reading.
It is time for another trip diary! To celebrate my month off before starting my next employment at university I am heading to five countries in East Asia within two weeks.
